Everyone always talks about cravings during pregnancy. Of course I had some of those , but the real cravings for me came after giving birth.
Nursing made me hungrier than I had ever been before!
Keeping my energy levels up while losing the baby weight was going to be harder than I anticipated.
I wanted to share with you today one of my go to healthy snacks that is full of lactation support foods.
Oats, flaxseeds, whole grains, protein, antioxidants, the list goes on!
My number one criteria for a snack is that has to be quick to put together (and tasty). This one totally meets that requirement.
Wasa Whole Grain Crispbread-or another heavy duty cracker. I like this one because it’s filling, versatile, and simple ingredients. I found this at Whole Foods Market.
Kitehill Greek Style Yogurt Vanilla-I try to stay away from dairy as much as possible because Clara and I feel better without it, but I’ve had a difficult time finding a tasty yogurt substitute. This one tastes just like traditional Greek yogurt! It’s dairy free and soy free, which I know is very important for nursing mama’s if your baby has any allergies or sensitivities.
Granola– rolled oats and flaxseeds for an added lactation boost! This one is from Aldi’s.
Fruit-your choice. I like a mixture of berries.
Directions-Take your cracker and spread a spoonful of yogurt all over. Add a few berries and sprinkle some granola on top. Finish with a drizzle of honey.
That’s it! Easy peasy and yummy!
