No Complaining Challenge

I’m a big fan of challenges. It helps me to stay focused, and to constantly attempt or explore new things.

I made some resolutions for the new year. Check them out here if you haven’t had a chance to yet. But who says you have to wait for a specific date on the calendar to evaluate where you are and where you want to be. It’s Wednesday, and the end of the month, but it seems like as good of a time as any to focus on a goal.

For the next 7 days I am making a pact with myself to not complain, at all! Sounds easy enough, but it will probably be incredibly difficult.

Not to be confused with being fake or disingenuous about anything that happens in life. Talking about the highs and lows of a day is needed. Expressing emotions is extremely important to our overall well-being.

I read recently that the average adult complains up to 30 times a day! Our lives can’t be that bad that we have 30 things EVERYDAY to be upset or irritated about.

I believe that what you say affects what you think and feel. Ultimately it determines your actions and emotions.

Can this one week challenge be just the jumpstart I need to reset my outlook on life? Join me if you would like, I’d love to have an accountability partner.

Check back next week to see how this experience turns out.

Xoxo,

Rachel

  1. Fair play to you for trying this, I don’t think I could manage a day without complaining, never mind a week! Completely agree that changing your frame of mind can improve your mood though. Would be interested to see how you get on with this
